This park can be found on the northern short of Lake Cumberland right around Jamestown, Kentucky. The parks itself is actually located in Russell Country Kentucky. Luckily for them, there are several places to choose from including Lure Lodge, Pumpkin Creek Lodge and private cottages. The Lure Lodge offers sixty three rooms. There is also an indoor pool which is excellent for children. The Pumpkin Creek Lodge offers more privacy. The thirteen room lodge also has three wet bars. Those who want to be able to enjoy their time at the park in a cottage can do so. You have the option of choosing between either a one or two bedroom cottage. There are currently ten cottages available. Each cottage offers a contemporary design with fireplaces.

Many people who visit Luke Cumberland Park are expecting to camp at the campground. You can rest assured that there will be a campground site available as there are one hundred and forty six sites available. Each site is equipped with utility hookups for convenience. The park also offers three central service buildings. Each of these buildings is equipped with showers and rest rooms. The park also offers laundry facilities and two dump stations. There is also a grocery nearby where you can purchase food and other items. It is important to note that the campgrounds are closed from November the 30th to March the 13th.

The marina currently offers one hundred open slips as well as rental fishing boats, pontoon boats, house boats and even ski boats.
Fisherman will feel right at home at Lake Cumberland Park. There are many types of fish that can be caught in the fifty thousand two hundred and fifty acres lake including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, white bass and Kentucky bass. It is also possible to catch bluegill, crappie, rockfish and walleye in the lake.
